Women’s Hefford Shield 2024

This event is to be played at the Hampstead Bowling Club on Monday 11th November commencing at 9.00am with a cup of tea/coffee/water before the first round of play.

General Information:
• Hefford Shield has been contested in Mid Canterbury for over 50 years. The purpose of the competition is to involve as many Players as possible from each Club. It is an opportunity for new Players to play interclub.
• The competition is a Round Robin format.
• The Hefford Shield is a graded Triples competition.
• All teams must be played according to their Club grading.
• Each Club to enter 4 teams of triples. Team members may be changed between each round of play.

Conditions of Play:
• 2 bowl Triples.
• 18 completed ends.
• If the jack is incorrectly delivered, the opposing skip may place the jack in a legal position and the mat may be repositioned.
• If an end is killed or declared dead, it is to be replayed.
• Match Committee will supply cards.
• Wins, Draws, and then points differential to decide overall winner.
• Umpires to be arranged by Match Committee in consultation with Umpires Association.
• Host Club to arrange rinks required etc with their green keeper.
• Morning and Afternoon Tea on the run, players pay $3.00 refreshment fees as required to host Club.
• Smaller clubs may borrow players from available players in other clubs to make up teams.
• Cancellations or postponements will be advised to each Club by the Match Committee by 8.00am on the day of play.
